Our morning offerings for tandem flight, is the perfect first experience. This flight is usually just enough for most people to see what the sport is all about. We meet at our landing zone, and with a short briefing we then shuttle up to our launch on a nice paved road. From there you are individually one-on-one with a tandem pilot, who with give you a comprehensive briefing on what is needed for you to be a full participant in this endeavor. The tandem instructor sits in the back, and the passenger sits in front. We organize our equipment, and do a simulation before our actual launch. The instructor double checks your buckles and straps, and once conditions are assessed and all systems are go, you will be hooked together with the experienced pilot. With the correct wind, and with a short run, you will soon be flying with the local raptors, maybe a red-tail hawk, or even a golden eagle. The flights will last about ten to twenty minutes depending on our natural meteorological environment of the day. You may even get to fly the glider yourself under careful guidance of the tandem instructor. We will also share our cameras with you to document this moment in time that you’ve been waiting for since childhood. After landing there is a happy celebration with more pictures.
